AIRLINER: Built for the Nights Between Cities
A weekday night in a city you crossed to hear a record. A room where the sound system matters more than the décor. The clothes you walk in wearing when it is still cold, and walk out wearing at four in the morning. That is what the AIRLINER capsule is cut for.
Where the name comes from
The Airliner is a bar on North Broadway in Lincoln Heights, east of downtown Los Angeles. From October 2006 to August 2018, it hosted Low End Theory, a Wednesday club night founded by producer Daddy Kev and named after the A Tribe Called Quest record. Over nearly twelve years, that upstairs room became the centre of what people now call the L.A. beat scene: a place where producers brought new music to a crowd that came to listen.
VENT D’HIVER was started by DJs and producers in Paris, records first and clothes after, and now operates between Paris and Toronto. None of us were in that room. What we recognise in it is familiar: a scene built on a weeknight, a sound system, and people moving across a city after midnight for something they cannot hear anywhere else.
An airliner is also how you get from one city to the next. The capsule takes its name from both ideas. It is a nod to a kind of night, not a claim on a place.
VENT D’HIVER is an independent brand. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by The Airliner or Low End Theory.
The denim
Both pieces are cut from the same 425 GSM denim, vintage washed. The weight is deliberate: these are clothes made to be worn through long nights and to still look right the morning after. Same fabric, same wash, so the two pieces read as one when worn together.

AIRLINER DENIM HOODED JACKET
A hooded denim jacket, boxy through the shoulders. Zipped up when the room is still cold, still on when you leave. The script logo is printed small at the chest.

AIRLINER WIDE LEG DENIM
A wide-leg jean, loose and easy, with room to move. The script logo is printed small on the back pocket.

Wear it together or on its own
The jacket and the jean were designed as a pair, but each stands alone. Both are available now at VENT D’HIVER™: the AIRLINER DENIM HOODED JACKET and the AIRLINER WIDE LEG DENIM.
